WARE MALCOMB HIRES CHRISTINA MANNION AS STUDIO MANAGER, ARCHITECTURE IN SAN DIEGO OFFICE

SAN DIEGO (May X, 2022) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced that Christina Mannion AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, has joined the firm as Studio Manager, Architecture, in the San Diego (Sorrento Valley) office. In this role, she will help lead the growth and management of the San Diego Architecture and Science & Technology Studios and manage select projects.Mannion, a registered architect in the State of California, has more than 25 years of project experience, including science & technology, workplace, civic infrastructure, mixed-use housing, higher education and master planning. Her technical expertise includes project leadership, facilities planning, research and manufacturing design solutions, and capital program oversight. In addition, she has extensive regulatory experience with city, county, and state planning groups and is well-versed in CBC, IBC and all construction types.  Most recently, Mannion worked as a Principal Architect for the University of California, San Diego, bringing several regional projects out of the ground, including the joint venture for the extension of San Diego’s blue line trolley to campus, a new Interstate freeway overcrossing at Gilman Drive, a new research facility, and the overall masterplan vision for the campus’ future.

Mannion holds a BA in Sociology/City Planning from University of California at Santa Cruz and a Master of Architecture from NewSchool of Architecture & Design, San Diego, where she graduated valedictorian. In addition, she studied Urban Design at University of Vienna, Austria, and Real Estate Development for Architects at Woodbury University. She is a certified Safety Assessment Program Evaluator, a member of the American Institute of Architects, certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board and a LEED Accredited Professional.
