WARE MALCOMB CHAIRMAN LAWRENCE R. ARMSTRONG TO EXHIBIT ARTWORK AT JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

IRVINE, Calif. (April 15, 2021) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced its Chairman Lawrence R. Armstrong, who is also an accomplished artist, will be exhibiting his work at the John Wayne Airport (JWA) in Orange County, Calif. His work in the OC Hot Glass Exhibit will be on display from April 10, 2021 through October 24, 2021.

The John Wayne Airport Arts Program is overseen by the five-member Airport Arts Commission and presents museum-quality exhibitions in the Thomas F. Riley Terminal.

Armstrong is well known for his strategic, visionary approach to design and business. He will be exhibiting artwork from his Layered Vision series, composed of layered glass, stainless steel and acrylic paint. Some of his unique art pieces weigh nearly 70 lbs. and highlight his ongoing fascination with the concept of layers. The artwork being displayed in the OC Hot Glass Exhibit are titled Filla 1.0 and Amor 1.0.

The Layered Vision series explores the natural tension inherent in varying environmental settings. It also evokes the multifaceted experience of the immense complexity that constitutes our world. His art is influenced through various stimuli including music, written text, nature, surrounding environments and his extensive travels.

Armstrong’s work has been exhibited around the world at venues such as the Grimandi Art Gallery in New York City, Galleria 360 EmozionArte show in Florence, Italy, SOFA Art Fair in Chicago, Galleria Azur in Madrid, and the Artblend Summer Exhibit in Fort Lauderdale, among many others.
