WARE MALCOMB ANNOUNCES NEW FLAGSHIP DESIGN FOR LA BOTTEGA WINE STORES IN PANAMA
PANAMA CITY (June 17, 2019) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced the completion of a new flagship design for La Bottega wine stores for client Varela Hermanos S.A. in Panama. Ware Malcomb provided interior architecture and design services for the project.
The new La Bottega flagship design is complete in two new stores in Panama: La Bottega Obarrio in Panama City and La Bottega Chitre in Herrera. A third location, La Bottega Punta Pacifica in Panama City will start construction in July and is scheduled to be completed in October 2019.
The overall design reflects the style and characteristics of the La Bottega brand. La Bottega is known for carrying a wide variety of labels in its stores, and the design places an emphasis on showcasing those products along with the brand’s flagship labels such as El Ron Abuelo and Seco Herrero. The design incorporates abundant natural lighting and furniture to highlight the products.
To complement the natural lighting, a variety of circular hanging light fixtures were incorporated to generate various effects of light and shade. Porcelain tile floors with wood-like textures emphasize the craftsmanship of historic spaces and the significance of wood in the production process of wine. Ancient-inspired mosaics with varied shapes and sizes are used to accent unique spaces throughout the stores.

The General Contractor for the project is Constructora Campestre.
