WARE MALCOMB ANNOUNCES CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY ON THE STATION IN EL SEGUNDO

LOS ANGELES (December 12, 2014) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm based in Southern California, today announced that construction is well underway on The Station office building located at 2201 E. El Segundo Boulevard in El Segundo. Ware Malcomb provided architectural and interior design services for the redevelopment project.

“Our challenge was to transform the existing building into an attractive and collaborative creative office space that would appeal to potential tenants and buyers,” said Radwan Madani, Regional Director of Ware Malcomb’s Los Angeles office. “Outdoor social areas and work spaces, exposed ceilings, and enhanced day lighting through the use of skylights and glass were just some of the elements we incorporated into the new design that will meet the needs of today’s companies.”

The Station is conveniently located across from the El Segundo Metrolink Green Line station. The new interior design transforms the existing two-story approximately 54,000 square foot office building into creative office space complete with outdoor site features, including a 1,020 square foot exterior addition. New building amenities include a café, fire pits and electric vehicle charging stations. The renovation also includes the enhancement of all exterior building entries to allow for multiple entry points to serve multiple tenants, updating the exterior lighting, parking lot improvements, and a complete landscaping renovation.

The developer for the project is Montana Avenue Capital Partners, LLC and the General Contractor is Park West Construction.
