WARE MALCOMB ANNOUNCES CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE ON NEW OFFICES FOR UNITED MECHANICAL INC.
SAN FRANCISCO (October 2, 2015) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced that construction is complete on the new offices of United Mechanical, Inc. located at 815 Atlantic Avenue, Suite #105 in Alameda, Calif.
Ware Malcomb provided interior design services for the project. United Mechanical, which provides engineering and construction services in the areas of HVAC and plumbing, along with HVAC service, acted as their own General Contractor.
United Mechanical’s new offices are comprised of approximately 12,000 square feet of open office space and 3,000 square feet of warehouse space. The company wanted a “cool and hip” creative office environment for their younger staff to feel comfortable, productive and inspired. The design was infused with energy through the use of vibrant colors, and featured employee-friendly design elements including open breakrooms and a gaming area. The new office complies with Cal Green and T24 standards, including all new LED lighting and metered outlets throughout.
“This project went far beyond your typical tenant improvement office redesign,” said Rhea Butler, Director, Interior Architecture and Design for Ware Malcomb’s downtown San Francisco office. “It was a pleasure to work so closely with United Mechanical on both the design plans and throughout the construction process, during which they acted as their own general contractor.
