UCSD Mandler Hall Basement Wet Lab

Architectural design services for the renovation of a 1,827 SF existing vivarium laboratory space within the basement of an existing Type I-A building. Spaces include vivarium, behavior and surgery rooms, and general/analytical lab space and lab office. The design consisted of a re-fresh of an existing basement laboratory. The small spaces provided a unique layout challenge ensuring equipment, casework and work spaces were efficiently designed.  Interior finishes included VCT and epoxy flooring, laminate casework, ACT and gypsum board ceilings.
