Hirose Electric U.S.A.
Downers Grove, IllinoisInterior architecture and design services for an 18,000 SF office headquarters relocation and tenant improvement. The space included an open office with a work café, product showroom, and a golf simulator which required special AV coordination and design. The design incorporated demountable glass partitions in critical locations such as executive offices & conference rooms. In addition, much of the existing interior architecture was repurposed to help provide an updated design within budget.
Hirose needed a space that would provide connection, innovation, & creativity. To do so, we incorporated brand colors, such as bright blue and black, in the details throughout the space. Linear and angular geometries were used to pay tribute to technology and connection. The team included light maple and copper tones to add warmth to the space. Concrete flooring and copper details were weaved throughout the office to mirror electrical components. Branding elements were included in the main lobby. The spaces feature an open ceiling in the collaborative area however, a traditional drop ceiling was used to accommodate acoustics in other areas.
"We sought to create an office environment that would enhance employee's engagement in a post-COVID situation. Ware Malcomb designed a new space with a modern atmosphere and a user-friendly setup, aligned with our industry."
