Project DesignerBiography
Ryan is an award-winning architect and designer. Since 2016 he has brought in-depth architectural design expertise focused on community-centric design and designing for the human experience. As a Project Designer, he is a trusted advisor to his clients, leveraging his technical background to create buildable design solutions that balance aesthetic impact and project budget. Ryan is responsible for design concept, design development and ensuring consistent design thinking and continuity through project completion.
With a strong background in the design of class A commercial real estate, his past project experience includes mixed-use developments, master planning, multifamily, science & technology, building repositioning, retail and community developments. Ryan is also a recipient of two Design Excellence Awards, both in the Architecture category for the Design of Sorrento Summit South Campus and Tysons Corner Adaptive Reuse Housing.
He is a published researcher and scholar having contributed to multiple research grants focused around community engagement and the built environment, and also serves part-time as an Adjunct Professor at NYIT’s School of Architecture and Design. His commitment to the local community is further extended through his 501c3 non-profit organization The Joseph David Hernandez Foundation, dedicated to bettering the lives of underprivileged youth through sports.
