Biography
Matt Brady is Executive Vice President for Ware Malcomb, and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. Established in 1972, Ware Malcomb is an international design firm providing planning, architecture, interior design, branding, civil engineering and building measurement services to commercial real estate and corporate clients. With office locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Panama, the firm specializes in the design of commercial office, corporate, industrial, science & technology, healthcare, retail, auto, public/educational facilities and renovation projects. Ware Malcomb is recognized as an Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private company and a Hot Firm and Best Firm to Work For by Zweig Group. The firm is also ranked among the top 15 architecture/engineering firms in Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 Design Firms and the top 30 interior design firms in Interior Design magazine’s Top 100 Giants.
Matt first joined Ware Malcomb as an intern in 1989. In 1999 he rejoined the firm as a Project Architect in the firm’s Irvine Corporate Headquarters. He successfully opened the San Diego office in 2000 and became Principal in 2003. Since then, Matt has successfully grown the teams, local market share, and visibility of Ware Malcomb’s Southwest and Southeast United States. Matt started the firm’s international business in Mexico and now oversees 2 Latin American markets. His strategic vision and effective business development efforts afforded these Ware Malcomb offices success and diversified project opportunities. He has done a tremendous job of building Ware Malcomb’s expertise and visibility in these markets. Matt was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2020 and will oversee many corporate, growth and operations initiatives for the firm.
Matt has over 30 years of architectural experience in the commercial real estate industry. His professional background includes the design and management of a wide variety of project types including industrial, office, retail, financial, healthcare, technology, broadcast and residential. Matt received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from the University of California, Berkley, is a licensed architect in 13 states and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Matt is a member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial & Office Properties) and is active in SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Real Estate). He has spoken at numerous commercial real estate industry events over the years including: the national NAIOP National Conference presenting Ware Malcomb’s award-winning Distribution/Fulfillment Center of the Future design concept; AMPIP (Mexican Association of Industrial Parks) conference sessions titled “Sustainable Design for Industrial Zones, Parks & Buildings” and “Impact of E-Commerce in the Real Estate Market”; and the YPO (Young Professionals Organization) Real Estate Symposium sharing the latest in industrial trends including multistory distribution.
Matt has also participated in the Baja Challenge over 15 times since its inception in 2000, serving as President in 2003. He is a volunteer for the Baja Challenge effort through Project Mercy and the San Diego real estate community to build homes for the less fortunate in Tijuana, Mexico.

Matt has been involved in the architecture industry since 1989 and has been involved in Medical design since 1994. He has experience in all facets of architecture and is responsible for the Southwest, Southeast and Denver markets in the United States and the Mexico City office. Matt also oversees Ware Malcomb’s Civil Engineering discipline firmwide. Joining Ware Malcomb in 1999, Matt is responsible for client development, master planning, site planning, design and overall business management. He also has a broad range of experience with project management, entitlements, contract documents, scheduling, bidding and contract administration.
Matt has managed the entitlements of several recent projects and has managed numerous medical office building projects. Matt’s professional background includes the design and management of healthcare, office, retail, industrial, financial, public, education, technology, broadcast and residential facilities. He has been an active member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial & Office Properties) since 2000.
