Ware Malcomb Wins the Glitz Award at IIDA Illinois’ A Stitch in Time!

Charged with the fun and energetic theme of the 1970’s – Pivot of Change, and the vibrant color of cobalt blue, Ware Malcomb D.L. Couch crafted a “super fly” ensemble to celebrate the exuberance of the 1970s.
The team took essential initial steps to carefully plan an eye-catching afro as the central focus of their ensemble.
Hundreds of “florets” were made from wall coverings and fabric, and pieced together to form a large, voluminous wig. The team held several “lunch crafting” parties to get it all done!
After hours of dedicated work, the team dressed Ware Malcomb interior designer, Maggie Benson in their psychedelic ensemble and wowed the crowd!
At the end of an exciting night, Ware Malcomb and D.L. Couch were awarded “The Glitz Award—Best Use of Material”!
