Ware Malcomb Warriors – Committed to Racing for the Cure!

For the 6th straight year, the Ware Malcomb Warriors participated in the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure (www.komenoc.org). Through the generosity of our sponsors and the fundraising efforts of our team, we raised nearly $15,000!

Ware Malcomb fundraising events

Several employee fundraising events were held including a Bake Sale, Ice Cream Social, BINGO Night, Day Off Raffle and restaurant fundraisers at Burger Lounge and Wahoo’s.

The Ware Malcomb Warriors race team of 84 runners and walkers participated in the Race for the Cure 5K on Sunday, September 24th, 2017 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California. In addition to employees, friends, family members and industry colleagues joined us on this fun and beautiful morning!

Komen OC Race Day

The Komen Orange County Race for the Cure is one of many community events Ware Malcomb supports. Ware Malcomb’s company wide program WM Active was started by Ruth Brajevich, the firm’s Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and breast cancer survivor. The program encourages our employees to be active in health, fitness, community and philanthropic activities in our local communities.

In addition to our own Ruth Brajevich, two breast cancer survivors joined our team. We are happy that our efforts will contribute to early detection, education and care for those battling breast cancer in our local community, as well as important research for improved treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
