Ware Malcomb Relived a Classic at IIDA Orange County’s 13th Annual Fashion Show
One of our favorite events of the year is the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Orange County’s annual Fashion Show! This event brings industry members and designers together to mix, mingle and enjoy some creative fashion.
This year’s theme was, “Relive the Classics” where teams designed outfits inspired by classic TV shows. Ware Malcomb was assigned the 1990’s teen sitcom hit, Saved by the Bell.
With materials used in the interior design field, Ware Malcomb team members, Alex Stensby, Bryan Walker, Jessica Scott, and Jonathan Thomas transformed into fashionable Bayside High students!
Our team’s amazing sponsors, Knoll and KnollTextiles donated fabrics, wallcoverings, drapery, and upholstery to create our outfits with. Architectural tiles and washers were used to make accessories.
It is a great experience to collaborate and design something memorable as a team. We also have to thank our team’s seamstress and a Ware Malcomb team member, Anita Makwana’s mother, Madhu Makwana for helping the team bring their vision to life!
The fashion show was an enjoyable and inspiring evening that also gave back to a good cause. A portion of the event proceeds benefitted Working Wardrobes (www.workingwardrobes.org), a nonprofit organization that helps adults confidently enter the workforce by providing career development and work-appropriate wardrobe services.
