Ware Malcomb celebrates its 45th Anniversary on April 1st, 2017. Our founding on April Fool’s Day was symbolic of the irreverent and self-deprecating sense of humor of our founders Bill Ware and Bill Malcomb. But it was their brilliant philosophy of commitment to quality architecture, focus on building strong client relationships and expertise at commercial real estate that endures at Ware Malcomb. Ware Malcomb was one of the first businesses established in the city of Irvine in 1972 and we have been here ever since.
In 1984, I joined Ware Malcomb as a young architect. Over the past 33 years, I have learned so much about design, architecture, business, people and leadership. In 1992, I was given the amazing opportunity to become the CEO of Ware Malcomb along with my former partner, good friend and Past President Jim Williams. We began to recruit key leaders to help us build the company.

In 2002, after successfully expanding the firm to five offices across the west, we set out to double our size in 5 years and become a national company. We achieved this goal a year early in 2006, and became not only national, but also opened our first office outside of the United States in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We weathered the 2009 recession and came out even stronger and better.
Since then, we have continued to grow and expand Ware Malcomb. Together with Executive Vice Presidents Ken Wink, Jay Todisco, a very talented leadership team, and over 400 dedicated WM team members, we have created a thriving, dynamic company with 22 interconnected offices in 4 countries. We now provide multiple integrated services including architecture, interior design, branding and civil engineering.
We would not have been able to accomplish this growth without our amazing clients, who trust us to carefully listen and design environments that accomplish their goals and deliver long term real estate value.
