The Ware Malcomb Warriors keep Running for the Cure!

For the 4th year running, Ware Malcomb came together as a team to participate in the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure (www.komenoc.org). The theme for this year’s race was “There’s a Hero in You”. Through the generosity of our sponsors and the fundraising efforts of our team, we raised over $11,300 for Komen Orange County this year!

As part of our fundraising campaign, we held several fun employee events including a Bake Sale, Taco Bar Lunch, Mini Golf Tournament, and Restaurant fundraisers (California Pizza Kitchen, Veggie Grill, and Ruby’s Diner). The Day Off Raffle, as always, was a huge success!
The Ware Malcomb Warriors race team, consisted of 89 team members who either walked or ran in the Race for the Cure 5K on Sunday, September 27th, 2015 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California. In addition to our employees, their friends, family members and our industry friends all came out and joined us on this amazing morning!
The Komen Orange County Race for the Cure is one of many community events Ware Malcomb supports. Ware Malcomb’s company wide program WM Active was started by Ruth Brajevich, the firm’s Chief Marketing Officer and breast cancer survivor. The program encourages our employees to be active in health, fitness, community and philanthropic activites in our local communities.

We are happy that our efforts will contribute to early detection, education and care for those battling breast cancer in our local community, as well as important research for improved treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
