Reaching for the Cure – PCRF 2022
At Ware Malcomb, we are continually focused on making an impact in our local communities. As part of our WM Community and WM Active programs, Ware Malcomb recently completed our 10th campaign in support of Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). Our two programs focus on encouraging and supporting our team members in being active in health, fitness, philanthropy and community involvement.
Annually since 2012, we’ve put together a Ware Malcomb PCRF Team to raise money and awareness for this great organization that funds important research to help children and families battling pediatric cancer.
Our 2022 PCRF Ware Malcomb team engaged our entire company in a variety of engaging team building/fundraising events leading up to the March 27 event! Several offices from around the company hosted their own PCRF team walks to support and bring awareness to this worthy charity. This included our Mexico City, Oak Brook, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Northern California, New York and New Jersey offices. Our Irvine office participated in PCRF’s official Reaching for the Cure event at Irvine Valley College, where team members walked or ran a variety of distances including a 1k, 5k, 10k and even a half marathon (13.1 mile) to show their support.
With the help of more than 160 of our team members across the company, we raised nearly $22,000 for the organization in 2022, the largest contribution our firm has ever made. Our fundraising efforts earned us two PCRF awards: the “Gift of Hope” award for elite corporate team donation and the “Race for the Heart” award for largest team involvement. Ware Malcomb has raised a total of $64,200 for PCRF over the last ten years.

We are happy to announce that PCRF has reached their overall 2022 Reaching for the Cure goal of $300,000 with the help of many sponsors and teams, including Ware Malcomb. The foundation, which was founded in 1982, has raised approximately $53 million over the last 40 years. All proceeds go to pediatric cancer research, helping to save countless young lives in the process.
