Mission: To Lift the Spirits of America’s Troops and their Families

Ware Malcomb is proud to join forces with Snyder Langston and a dedicated team of consultants to provide services to the Bob Hope USO in creating the very first USO Center at the John Wayne Airport.

Bob Hope USO serves Southern California with airport centers at LAX, Ontario, Palm Springs and soon, John Wayne Airport! An estimated 50,000 troops and their families pass through John Wayne Airport each year. The new Bob Hope USO Center will provide the military and their families complimentary snacks and beverages, space to relax or rest and internet connection while traveling.

The USO was created by President Roosevelt in March 1941. Today, the USO continues to provide global programs and initiatives to support the military community. Their mission is to lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.

The USO provides many of us with an intimate look into the lives of the U.S. military and their families that we may not be aware of. From the remarkable homecoming surprises that leave us with goosebumps and full hearts, to the emotional, heart-wrenching stories of too many dealing with life-altering injuries and losses, the USO is there supporting our military and their families, around the world, every step of the way. The organization has more than 160 locations worldwide and continues to expand their reach each and every day. The USO carries out their mission by providing an extensive range of programs for deployed troops, military families, transitioning troops and families of the fallen.

The new Bob Hope USO Center will consist of a canteen and lounge area complete with couches, televisions, computers with internet access, books and board games. It is the perfect space for service members and families to relax and wait for a departing flight or their ground transportation while emulating a comfortable, homey atmosphere that they deserve. The space is located in Terminal B of John Wayne Airport.

When approached about providing donated services to this project, one of our partners said, “For the men and women in our armed forces who dedicate themselves to keeping our Country and thus my family free from both foreign and domestic tyranny 365 days a year – yes I am willing to help out with this worthy project.”

We look forward to the completion of the new Center, so the Bob Hope USO can open their doors to the 50,000 deserving troops and their families. Wherever and whenever our troops go, the Bob Hope USO will be there, until every one comes home.
