IIDA NJ | Finish Meets Fashion

Ware Malcomb’s New Jersey team got to strut their stuff on the catwalk during International Interior Design Association (IIDA) PA/NJ/DE chapter’s second annual Finish Meets Fashion show. The special event raised money in support of the Interior Design Student Community in New Jersey with all proceeds benefitting important and sustaining groups. This year’s ominous theme for the show was “Sinister Design”.  Ghoulishly glamorous and creepy couture constructed with materials provided by sponsoring manufacturers staggered down the runway.

This year, Ware Malcomb was sponsored by well-known international furniture company, Artopex. The event was held at the STEM Building at Kean University, and drew in over 500 attendees. Three celebrity guest judges were in attendance as well: Project Runway’s Austin Scarlett, HGTV’s Shaun Killman, and Designstar’s Blanche Garcia.

Great job to our entire New Jersey office who took part in the fun and worthwhile event! Laura Ward from DS&D Steelcase Furniture Dealer was our selected runway model and was such a great sport. Special thanks to Lois Miller from Artopex, and Helen Geller, Joe Di Giorgio, and Michael Bennett from Ware Malcomb for all the extra effort they put into Laura’s spectacular make-up, outfit, and accessories.  And extra special thanks to Rina Geller who helped bring everything to life with her incredible sewing skills!
