Celebrating 50 Years of Philanthropy
At Ware Malcomb, we believe in the importance of being engaged in our local communities and giving back to help others through our support and involvement in philanthropy. This is one of our core Ware Malcomb values.
Ware Malcomb has been passionately engaged with numerous charities and non-profit organizations throughout our 50-year history. To commemorate our golden anniversary, we are shining a spotlight on some of those partnerships.
Our WM Community program has “Raced for a Cure” for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF), built artful can sculptures for CANstruction to help fight hunger and Built a Fund for Tomorrow for United Way. Our team members participate in pro bono projects, provide free and at-cost design services, and contribute volunteer hours to numerous charitable organizations.
We are proud to highlight some of our team members’ accomplishments:
Our Pack to School Fundraisers have raised more than $125,000 over the last nine years, benefitting the Denver Boys and Girls Club. Last year, our Denver office packed more than 600 backpacks with supplies that were provided to local Denver-area children to ensure they were set up for a successful school year.
United Way is an organization we’ve proudly partnered with for 23 years. We’ve raised more than $700,000 to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of people in our communities. Last year alone, we raised more than $58,000 to support United Way’s efforts.

We’ve supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation for more than a decade. Last year, we raised more than $13,000 for the organization, and over the years we’ve raised more than $100,000. Susan G. Komen has invested more than $1 billion in research since 1982 to help the one-in-eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

With 25 office locations across the Americas, we have committees focused on supporting different foundations and organizations. Hundreds of our team members have been involved and played a major role in our company’s philanthropic efforts.

PCRF is an organization devoted to researching cures for pediatric cancer. We’ve been involved with PCRF since 2012. In 2022, we’re hosting numerous in-house events to raise money and awareness for the charity. On March 27th, we’ll once again be a sponsor for PCRF’s Race for a Cure. The events include 10K, 5K and 1K adult and kid’s races, all to assist in reaching their $300,000 donation goal with proceeds all going to pediatric cancer research.
“The way Ware Malcomb embraces community on a company-wide level is exemplary,” said Erin Arreola, Director of Special Events for PCRF. “Keeping philanthropy at the forefront of your corporate culture represents your trust and belief in the missions you support. Your organization has actively supported organizations like ours through investments of dollars, time, and employee resources year after year – creating a true and lasting impact for these nonprofits. We at PCRF count ourselves as fortunate to call Ware Malcomb a partner in our mission. Your tireless commitment to giving back to the communities in which you work does not go unnoticed by the families we serve and by other companies leading by your example.”
